The use of “cookies”.
During a visit to the site, ‘cookies’ may be placed on the hard drive of your computer. A cookie is a text file that the server of a website places in the browser of your computer or on your mobile device when you consult a website. Cookies cannot be used to identify individuals; a cookie can only identify a machine.
We use first party cookies. ‘First party cookies’ are technical cookies used by the visited site itself, whose purpose is to let the site function optimally. For example: settings the user made during previous visits to the site, or: a pre-filled form with data the user entered during previous visits.
We also use third party cookies. ‘Third Party cookies’ are cookies that do not come from the website itself but from third parties, for example a marketing or advertising plug-in that is present. The third party cookies present on the Toolmaster site are those of Facebook, Google Analytics and Hubspot.
The Facebook pixel is used to show targeted advertisements to the visitor based on activity on our website. The Google analytics cookie is used to measure and analyse website traffic. The Hubspot cookie is used for our inbound marketing efforts; it allows us to follow the activity of an anonymous visitor until he or she becomes a customer.
You can set your internet browser so that cookies are not accepted, so that you receive a warning when a cookie is installed, or so that cookies are removed from your hard drive afterwards. You can do this through the settings of your browser (via the help function). Do keep in mind that certain graphic elements may not appear correctly, or that you will not be able to use certain applications.
By using our website, you agree to our use of cookies.
Google analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies” (text files placed on your computer) to help the website analyse how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) is transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google uses this information to keep track of how you use the website, to compile reports on website activity for website operators and to offer other services relating to website activity and internet use. Google may provide this information to third parties where Google is legally required to do so, or insofar as those third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. Google will not combine your IP address with other data held by Google. You can refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser. We would point out, however, that in that case you may not be able to use the full range of this website. By using this website you consent to the processing of the information by Google in the manner and for the purposes described above.
